Construction Project Management with Linda Mayr of Planstack

Hey Linda! What’s your background and what led to you working in PropTech?

I got my start in the building industry and have worked for almost 3 years in turnkey construction as a construction supervisor prior to starting Planstack.

What problem are you working to solve with Planstack?

With our platform we improve the coordination process of all project participants. We start with the buyer of a residential unit and enable him to configure his unit directly via Planstack. We pass on this information directly to the construction site, where we then support the entire project management right up to the handover.

How is Planstack financed?

Currently, we are self-funded along with some help from government grants.

What is Planstack's growth strategy?

We minimize the barriers to entry by offering both an attractive entry price and a simple user interface. This makes us attractive for smaller construction companies, but we can also handle larger projects without problems.

What has been the hardest part of building, growing or monetizing Planstack?

In Germany, many construction companies are still very conventional and not ready for digitization. Therefore, we have to convince companies not only for our product but also for the digitalization of processes.

What insights about real estate and technology have you came to realize whilst building Planstack?

A simple and intuitive user interface plays a very important role. We often meet employees of larger companies who are a bit afraid of new applications they have to learn to use. To pick up every employee here, a new software application must be easy to understand and simple to learn.
